I don't know what to do. Maybe I should start on the long road to finding someone else, someone who's going to meet my needs and not call the police every time she sobers up, claiming I manhandled her with a double-ender.

Just start crying - let it all out.Cry and cry and cry and cry until you start laughing. Try rocking a bit too - it's soothing. If you start hearing voices, they can be silenced by screaming and clutching your head.
