(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:06, archived)
# 1600 x1200
or similar ( I'm still mostly working in good old fashioned 4:3 )

But I was only being flippant, don't go to any special trouble for me.

Edit:// it is 4:3 now I come to check i, I'm on a widescreen right now and getting confused ;)

If the latter, how do you do it?
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:02, archived)

proper vector traced images in illustrator deserve a little more praise than 'embellished'
Takes a bit of effort.

# Very nice!
Our original Odeon is going to be torn down to make room for more parking for Sainsburys soon.

Cunts. Inside it's all mint green and black 30s opulence, it's glorious.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:04, archived)
# why destroy something like that when we've got fuckloads of pointless shops :(
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:09, archived)
# My point exactly.
That cinema introduced a lot of wonderful films to me, and I miss it terribly. Now it's nigh on £20 for two people to see one film in our new multiplex warehouse thing, and it's so boring. I miss the old, rat infested Odeon. It had such soul.

# *fume*
down with this sort of thing.
if only everyone did what tesco did with the hoover building, we could have the best of both worlds.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:15, archived)
# ooh
is that very far along the process? Cinemas are a goldmine for salvage if you can get in early enough.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:18, archived)
# Nope, it's just boarded up.
I have found no way of getting inside. If you'd like to try though, please do tell me as I bet they've got some old cans I'd love to give a loving home to before they get chucked in a skip.

# there are still two old fashioned east german cinemas in Jena
they're absolutely gorgeous. One is a two screen cinema in a place that looks like a pub from the outside and the other is a 5 screen cinema with 50-seats in each room and oodles of drab dreary communist decor. brill.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:32, archived)
# :O take me to the second one please.
Sounds quite similar to another one I've heard of, also in Germany. Could be the same one I suppose but I don't think it was in Jena.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:33, archived)

LONG car journeys.

# Hehe.
You have to go through the proper channels but some contractors will subcontract the rip out if there is a deal to be done on the salvage.
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:42, archived)
# Er..... I don't know. Do you want me to see if I can find out
who's doing the thing?
(, Tue 25 Mar 2008, 13:47, archived)
# No thanks.
I can phone the council if I want to look into it. I have more than enough things I'll probably not do this year as it is. But I might look into it.

# They cut down fifteen nice big trees outside my workplace
in order to make parking spaces for a new building they're about to build. What a bunch of cunts.
