I helped do up my brother-in-law's old beetle. It was rusted to bits. Cleaned it down to the bare metal, and there wasn't much of that left. Rebuilt with fibreglass and filler. After its respray it looked fresh from the production line.

I don't mean to be rude, but next time you want to repair rust, don't bother with fibreglass and filler. Cut out the rusted areas and weld in new metal. Fibreglass and filler only works for a few years at most before the problem comes back worse than before. Do it properly with new metal, and it will last a lifetime.
