I'm sorry, Guy-Manuel and Thomas.
To be honest, I've never loved a movie as much as I love Electroma. And I mean every minute of it. I recommend it only if you have patiece.

they are totally unrelated
but possibly.
The only connection is robots. Really. The rest is all just desert.
there are only two elements to this film. Robots, walking and deserts.

It's late and I've had a couple of drinks, so I may be wrong
but I make that three elements.

What do you mean?
Are you like me, and hate when robots are portrayed like evil malfunctioning machines?

Yeah.
Robots can be our friends.
I love Daneel and Giskard.
I need to read more of the Elijah Bailey series, but I found Robots and Empire in my dad's massive sci-fi collection, and found it fantastic.

I haven't watched Interstella 5555
So I can't really say. Have you watched slow movies with little dialogue? Like "2001"? (I can only think about that one now...)

I've had the DVD for ages, but still not watched it.
One day I will.

Something about us is one of my favourite songs.

I loved electroma as well.
I was stunned by how much I enjoyed it at the end of it all, even though nothing had happened, although the only versions I could find had a really rather irritating timecode at the top throughout, which ruined it for me.

I would like to watch it again though.
I watched it late at night in my bedroom in the dark all alone, and I felt so very very far removed from everything alive after I watched it... it's a feeling I'd love to have again.
