I'd say "Arlo Guthrie is shit", or perhaps go into even more detail, not just "fuck off". "Fuck off" doesn't tell you anything. Have a proper confrontational argument, it'll be interesting.

Frustrating, but a good tactic.
It's not like he'd care either way, and I seriously doubt I'd have any impact on his political opinions,
so what's the point in expending all that energy on him? Telling him to fuck off is just catharsis for me.
