Talking of claim forms I'm having a nightmare with my premium bonds! I was given a few thousand when I was born and I'm trying to get ownership of them off my estranged family.
They seem to be under the impression that was they looked after them for pretty much all my life they are now theirs. The only reason they have been looking after them so long is they never told me I had any!
I've also discovered that I got a substansial winning off them which I have apparantly claimed already!

EDIT: So they would have to have been signed off by my parents anyway. A fraction over 12,000 smackeroonies too!

You should be able to register your new address with PB.
As for your winnings... sounds like a bit of fraud? Shouldn't the cheque have been payable to you?

I am trying to get them inmy name but i don't have the number which I should have for the bonds. This is what is causing the headache, all the paperwork to get myself the number.
Took me long enough to get my folks address wher they're registered to.
I'm slowly getting there.

I am sure they make the forms so complex to put people off persuing claims :(
edit: do you have any pics of your family you can post so we can shop horrid things on them and try and make you feel a little better? :D

They could just do that with one page. I'd stop chavs from claiming as they'd actually have to write!

They would have to have been cashed in for anyone to get the money. If they were originally in your name they still will be, regardless of your age. Someone else could only cash in a prize if they said they were you and that is a criminal offence.
Going by what you've said you should be able to prove ownership as your DOB is registered with them as well as your address at the time of purchase.
Good luck anyway.
