I was never a huge fan of C&C because it was a direct rip offof Dune 2 on the Amiga which was one of the best games of the decade. i've been playing Kane's Wrath a bit which is fun.
I've also been enjoying Universe at War, Earth Assault which is really good.
I loved Mech Commander but not as much as the second one but I consider that a different type of game.
I also love Empire Earth and have all releases.

Dune 2 was rather fantastic.I think I got it together with cannon fodder 2.
