I did a contract once where I never got the chance for a lunch break then three months into the contract they decided that they didn't want me to work the extra hour a day so said they weren't going to pay me for it and were going to back date it for the 4 months since ad arrived.
I asked them to call me back in ten minutes, called my solicitor, got him to call them, then ten minutes later they called me back to let me know they wouldn't be not paying me.

I'm curious about thisIn American films they always seem to 'have a solicitor', as if they all have a general purpose one on speed dial that they can call when they like...do people really do this?
