# good grief!
if i am getting one done i want to be able to see it myself and hide it cos i got a job where i am sposed to be respectable so i think just the top of my right arm so i can stick a plaster over it when i have to be "nice"

# It depends on where on your body you get it done.
I have a little bat (the flying rodent variety of my own design which everyone says looks like either the bacardi bat or the bat signal) on the side of my leg and it didn't hurt at all. I guess there aren't many nerves there or something. The most painful part of that tattoo was pulling the masking tape off my leg when I took the dressing of it.

But this one was very, very, very painful. As the tattooist was going down the lines and filling in the spaces over the bones in my foot I could feel myself going into shock. My hands and feet started shaking (upsetting the tattooist), went a bit dizzy and felt slightly ill and my mouth went dry.

Like I said... OWIE!
