# For those who I told I was going to get a tattoo done today...

Yes, I said I was going to have it on the sole of my foot but the tattooist said it would just wear off.
Yes, it is my own design.
Yes, the redness is the blood still seeping from the tattoo.
And yes, it was probably the most painful thing I've ever had done to myself... when that needle kept passing over the bones on the top of my foot..... OWIE!

# very nice = )
i saw someone (possibly on BME?) with a tattoo on their second toe. it was the most adorable thing i've ever seen and i desperately want one too. i just can't decide what design to get

# Just imagine you'd got a brand new graphics tablet, what would you do?
I reckon the same should go the tattoo

# but you can only fit something like
a pic 1cm x 1cm on your toe, if that, without it looking shit.
and i'd probably just do a few swirls or sommat. i'm not like the blokes round here = )

# good grief!

# It depends on where on your body you get it done.
I have a little bat (the flying rodent variety of my own design which everyone says looks like either the bacardi bat or the bat signal) on the side of my leg and it didn't hurt at all. I guess there aren't many nerves there or something. The most painful part of that tattoo was pulling the masking tape off my leg when I took the dressing of it.

But this one was very, very, very painful. As the tattooist was going down the lines and filling in the spaces over the bones in my foot I could feel myself going into shock. My hands and feet started shaking (upsetting the tattooist), went a bit dizzy and felt slightly ill and my mouth went dry.

Like I said... OWIE!

# the thought
of that makes me feel queesy, few years ago we went on a trip to blackpool and a mate had a premiership trophy with manu on it done on his ankle... it was twice the size he imagined and i am sure i could hear the neddle thingy gnawing on the bone :'(
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:45, archived)
# blimey - that was quick.
(I was gonna mention you wouldn't be able to get it on the sole, but i think you'd gone).
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:35, archived)
# i've seen pictures of people with
tattoos on their feet.
possibly the most painful thing i can imagine.
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:43, archived)
# ah, thanks...
(2 minutes to get there, 10 minute wait, 15 minutes of SEARING PAIN, 2 minutes giving my money, 2 minutes to get home)
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:43, archived)
# I can't believe it
only took 15 mins. As there's so much black i thought it would take a fair bit longer. (Make sure you protect the scab's when you wear your shoes - or it'll go patchy - then you'll have to get it redone - ouch!)
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:49, archived)
# Don't worry,
I have a big supply of clingfilm to put over it to stop sticky scabs.
(, Sat 15 Mar 2003, 16:56, archived)
# you sound like
you're speaking from experience? do you have a furtive tattoo, perchance? or a pixel bunny? :)
