# HAHAHA. Hoot man!
It's going to be one of those day. Really good booking turns up (£400) and they're complete halfwits that didn't think age restiction didn't apply to them. Middle aged married couple with elderly parent and four year old boy. I was with them twenty five minutes explaining over and over and over that they were not in the age bracket and could not stay. Apparantly that doesn't matter if you've had to travel to get to the hostel. I finally reach a compromise that I'll charge them the cancellation fee and the two parents can stay one night. They then try and get me to budge further and by then I have enough. I tell them that I'll only charge the cancellation fee for two people if they all leave now and don't come back. The guy is very happy with this and it takes a further five minutes to make him understand I didn't say they could stay one night and only pay for two people. In the end I have to tell them that that's the end of the converstion and walk off and leave them.

Oh. 'ningles all.

# One of my first mentors in the service industry
warned me to get out before I was scarred.

The guy was a former prostitute, but I still didn't take him seriously, or more likely I didn't know what he meant until it was too late.

Back out!
