My parents' local post office staffare all going into work, they totally disagree with the strike, but the nearest big branch is going with the union. I sympathise with the overworked and underpaid, but not everyone in their organisation agrees with the strike.

very interesting readingi'm sure a lot of postmen are like this man. unfortunately, the ones around here seem incapable of reading a name or address correctly, meaning people for 3 streets around are constantly forced to deliver neighbour's mail that has been posted through the wrong letterboxes

Very interestingCan't help a slight feeling of Hurry-Up Crowe - unemployment being so high, that when workers struck they just all got fired and new people employed. I realise this is a little extreme, but in these days when there are a lot of people who'd be happy to have ANY form of income, a fair bit of it comes across as petty whining..

Without people standing up for their right to work decent hours for decent pay then we'd still be in the 19th Century and getting chucked into workhouses if we didn't work every hour we were able. People need to stand up against the uber-capitalist approach to business. People matter... People are the ONLY thing that matters when it comes to this kind of thing... And the Passport Office used a courier service to deliver my passport recently. If the British government doesn't trust Royal Mail to deliver, why should anyone else? Sheesh...
