Because it's cheap and I'm a student, and they have some of the best supermarket staff I've encountered.
Plus their produce is top notch for the price.

It's the only place you can buy a decent range of actually named cuts of meats, rather than just 'casserole meat' or 'frying meat'.
The veg is pretty good too. The store near me is a magnet for slow old people, though.

Stewing steak is usually chuck steak. Which begs the question; why would they mark an excellent cut of meat like shin as something inferior like chuck? Shin is the best stewing cut there is. Weird.
