# Yeah, the hooky versions tend to work by not talking to adobe, there is a very easy workaround to stop it
talking to adobe and getting your serial blacklisted but I have a legit business and really don;t want to be using pirate software, £300 odd quid I can stomach for business needs but I can't justify £969 and I'm not sure how they can!

That does pretty much answer it though as I would be being bought it by someone who works for a Uni for my useage. I figured Adobe would say that anyways,
Just wondering if anyone knows whether they can trace it in anyway?

Thanks for that.

# Well, I guess not
I guess notso long as the person buying it doesn't want to use it on their computer or will not try to upgrade at any time in the future. So much trust and so many variables involved.

I agree that the price is way prohibitive. I've been using a second-hand copy of Photoshop I picked up in a charity shop for years on my PC but when my new business relied totally on it and a mac I had to end up buying CS3 Design Standard. I now want to upgrade to the full version (or at least add on Dreamweaver) and that will cost me almost as much as purchasing from new.
