when I first started watching Spitting Image,
John Major was grey, just like everyone else, because we were watching it all on a monochrome tv set.
When we eventually got a colour tv set, we found it quite interesting that Brixton Johnny's colouring scheme hadn't changed. It seemed to suit him.
