x-cubed - 5 x-squared + 2 x + 8 = 0
Badger did it by plotting a graph in his imagination, but you may use long division if you like.

x cubed minus five x squared plus two x plus eight equals zero.

I am indeed.
I'm not fond of Badger myself, but was forced to listen to him for an estimated seven years in school.
And that was over three years ago, so Claims Direct won't lift a finger.

I've never heard FFaF, nor do I ever intend to.
I had quite a job finding a picture of them actually playing their instruments, rather than simply standing around posing.

it's not difficult to go on the game
just introduce yourself to passing guys in the street and ask them if they want a good time.
then point at the nearest pub and say 'that'll be £19.99 please'

Yep. So many great jokes come from that show.
I quote from 5 July 2004 episode, recorded in Salford, Humphrey Littleton: "Right, in this next round, the teams are going to delve into the world of real celebrities. The cult of the celebrity is everywhere, with many lending their image to the promotion of consumer goods. I noticed recently on my pack of sausages, a picture of Anthony Worral Thompson in his kitchen. Underneath it said 'Prick with a fork'..."

you're missing out...
there's a reason why so many fab jokes come from that show... it's a comedy goldmine! although i'll admit radio 4 comedy in general is a bit hit-and-miss these days... but of course in the old days it originally introduced us to:
lee and herring's fist of fun
the league of gentlemen
the unknown paul merton appearing on Just a Minute in the 1980's
that mitchell and webb *sound* (SOO much better than their recent TV show)
on the hour (which became TV's "the day today", which launched alan partridge, chris morris etc.)
blue jam (became the brilliant 'jam' on TV, with chris morris, kevin eldon et al)
dead ringers (again much better in its radio days)
There are still some corkers on R4 to listen out for - Just a Minute and ISIHAC are still favourites of mine.
there are many more shows which found their feet on R4... i've just forgotten them due to all the red wine i've been drinking... can anybody help??

My ex was a 2nd tier fan...got the paperback the minute it came out
the hardbacks would have to be presents from someone else.
I read most of them if only cos she kept insistin on their fabulousness.
Normally I would retaliate by playing her some of my newly found metal music progeny. But in general at the time, my newly foung heavy metal progeny was found in her record box.
