This is a normal post The triple door is good.
Could be useful to keep an ankle biter out of the kitchen or exit the room on all fours.(Happens if one has drunk to much anyway)

This is a normal post Can we try and add something to the links board FAQ/practice, that if people are considering posting a link to tickld, buzzfeed, poke or their content-lif ilk, then they should at least attempt to track back to the originator of the work prior to posting?
Just a thought...

EDIT content-lifting. Must have hit the character limit.

EDIT EDIT Feature request duly logged, for what it's worth www.b3ta.com/questions/bugs_and_feature_requests/post2234984

This is a normal post but somepeople, me included,
see something good on somewhere, and post it here, using the logic if I like it someone else might.
Often Im on my phone and searching for the sauce is just a ball ache I could do with out.
But I agree with your point, just know I'll struggle to do that, and some people just wont be arsed.

This is a normal post funny how some people get called spamcunts when they post exactly the same link though
just because you aren't getting paid for it, doesn't make content lifting sites better.

This is a normal post Yes practicalities will limit this, but I think a little bit of effort on our collective part to give credit to the actual creators of the work we share would be beneficial.
Especially in circumstances where otherwise we'd be feeding the more notorious plagiaristic monsters of the interwebz.

This is a normal post oh definitely
And I will try to, just don't want it to be immediately picked up on if I or someone else, doesn't do it. By choice or accident the last thing I want is the equivalent of GLASSCOCK being replied every 5 posts...

This is a normal post Pah! As if members of this forum would be so petty as to cry "GC" or "SPAM" at the drop of a hat.

This is a normal post we got to provide a bibliography now!?

This is a normal post Nope.
Just take a few seconds prior to posting a link to try and identify the originator of the work, hopefully ensuring that any traffic and benefits thereof accrue to them rather than people exploiting their creativity for their own gain.

Thought it might be a concept that resonated with a few people here.

This is a normal post Mate lets face it B3ta is dead..
there are so many things that need to be fixed like the pagination issues - the Older/Newer bug etc etc.
I dont think the site code has been touched for over ten years - Rob said once the guy who coded it is no longer around and not answering emails and it seems Rob does not want anyone else to work on the site.

I would love to have a Wordpress link blocker for instance but know it will never happen!
Rob has his new Tumbler site Usvsthem now so B3ta is even further down his list.

This is a normal post whats the older/newer bug?

(, Wed 12 Mar 2014, 12:21, , Reply)
This is a normal post Try it out and see ;)
Half of the posts get lost if you click the Older button, then if you click Newer again it reorders in some odd way and some of the older posts arrive at the bottom of the page.

The youtu.be bug has been outstanding for the best part of three years now. Its a simple string replacement fix.

This is a normal post That one's credits say
it was stolen from a content stealing site.

I'm always in two minds about such sites - on one hand, they mostly credit now, and truly thieving ebaumsworld cunts are rarer - at least there seems to be some manners now. On the other, the wrong people make the money.

That said, I'm sure many photographers get pissed off with b3ta for using their images without credit, even if they are re-appropriated.

This is a normal post Take your points
But to my mind there's a difference between someone using an image as the basis for a piece of work and posting it on a public forum for sh*ts 'n' giggles, and someone else wholesale lifting a piece of work and actively exploiting it for commercial gain.

...and as the original post demonstrates, even when sites do credit, it's often very lazily done - this one just goes back to another secondary source, buzzfeed are notorious for broken or inaccurate links, etc.
