Jay report mentions 1400 victims over a long period of time. It doesn't say that they are victims of predominantly asian or pakistani gangs (something misunderstood in the right-wing press).
The report then looks at about 62 cases (similar studies have also used a small number of cases, and thus have mentioned any conclusions as weak and needing further study with larger populations).
In the cases the perpetrators are largely described as asian, although it has been found that the term 'asian' used by victims can refer to many different ethnic types, including white people.
