That doesn't sound right at all.
For a start a referendum and plebiscite are not the same thing. The Brexit vote was indeed a plebiscite and not a referendum, but representative democracy, referendums, and plebiscites are all forms of democracy, therefore a plebiscite is democracy. What the fuck has Hitler got to do with it? Are you saying that plebiscites are bad because Hitler quite liked them? That makes no sense at all. Surely the basis for whether or not a thing is bad is the intrinsic nature of the thing, rather than someone else's opinion of it.
