Bear in mind that it's not just Brussels we have to strike a deal with, it's every other entity we want to trade with. This damage you're claiming will happen is an inevitable consequence of the first vote. Pretty much the entire political class has known this all along apart from a few crackpot Tories who think that getting our black passports back is more important
