I agree that Curb is very much an acquired taste,
but I think calling Frasier unwatchable is more than a little harsh. I'm quite sure that Friends would have been a little lowbrow and trite for your tastes, but its international success speaks volumes. I never really got Seinfeld, but many comedians speak very highly of it. Some of my friends rate the american version of The Office but I didn't see much of that.
