This is a normal post The questions are unanswerable. Nobody knows what is going to happen.
But... She has a mandate in that the question was put to the electorate, and the thick cunts that we are as a nation voted for Brexit. It is now her job to deliver it.
If I was in her shoes, I would be telling the European negotiators that I am happy to have a 'Hard Brexit'. I suspect that means we would be prepared to have no trade deal at all rather than compromise on free movement, European Court supremacy etc.
This does not mean she wants this, just that you do not place all your cards on the table and tell Mrs Irrelevant what your negotiating stance is just because she's worried about her chip shop or whatever.
I voted remain, I want to be part of Europe for many reasons, but I am not so arrogant as to insist that we ignore the vote result, and to get the best deal we may have to be prepared to 'walk away' from Europe and accept dodgy deals on the international stage like we used to.
Yes, we may not get cheap Lithuanians to come and pick our fruit and veg, but don't forget that EU rules have prevented us staffing our hospitals with Indian doctors, Filipino nurses and Nigerian cleaners like they always used to be!
The main result of Brexit therefore will be increased immigration of essential workers from LIMIC countries, which may be an advantage to those countries in need of Sterling and to us in need of cheap labour!
