This is a normal post Ah yes, the infamous "super bacteria"
or "Superior Baccilius"

Feared by journalists everywhere for its ability to do anything and be anywhere.

I do love a good health article written by a "health correspondent".

This is a normal post Isn't that just lay speak for a bateria that's resistant to drugs though?
What term should they be using?

Also it pales compared to the main subject which is eating baby flesh.

"Oh I do fancy some human flesh but i'm worried about getting a tummy ache"

This is a normal post If they're dead,
and weren't killed to order, who really cares about consuming remedies made from human flesh?

This is a normal post cannibalism is generally frowned upon in polite society.
but yes I am aware certain vaccines have been create by using fetal tissue but they're made by proper scientists with white coats and everything.

This is a normal post Pointing out *that* people disapprove of something
won't tell us anything about why that disapproval is warranted. My question stands.

This is a normal post Well if you want a medical reason not to eat the flesh of other humans
Do some reading up on Kuru desease.

If you really want to eat babies just make sure you avoid braun and spinal matter.

This is a normal post But even if it's foolish,
that won't tell us why we oughtn't. After all, playing rugby is probably more dangerous, and so more foolish...

This is a normal post After being mean about my poem I don't think i'll bother with an obvious strikethrough gag.
What am I, a Vogon?

This is a normal post I think Vogons may find that incredibly offensive.

This is a normal post It's just a bit like saying that compost contains compost or poo contains poo
It doesn't really add anything to the article. Dried human flesh will contain bacteria, some of that bacteria could be considered "super" if it needs stronger than normal drugs or for longer to kill it. If you tested your hands after your daily commute to work, maybe across London on the tube, you may find a similar cross-section of bacteria on them. Scary, huh? (Not really).

If they want to use a quote or statement like that, perhaps analysing it and naming the actual bacteria might be better. We might otherwise be talking about a completely harmless bacteria that just happens to be drug resistant.

The bottom line is that these journalists don't give you facts, only a load of hand waving hysteria. It's probably not deliberate, they may only understand the "layman"'s version, but we read these things expecting that they know more than us. Some science reporters do, but often these are not written by science reporters, and are less sciency and a lot more emotional as a result.

The main subject... well, what a few people sell to the terminally gullible really doesn't interest me, even if it is made from dead foetus. Like you say, these people need to man up and not worry about getting a little tummy ache ;-)
