They're very pretty, I'm sure. Unless they're going to use their expensive OLED screen to display standard, single-point, non-moving lights then they're just making the information those lights give less clear. That way lies accidents, death, spilt tea etc.
Edit: Having watched this again, I can also confirm that it'd be horribly distracting to be behind. This is another Very Bad Thing.
