This is a normal post Tips should always be voluntary and at the rate the customer wants
But then again the US has a retarded employment system where the poor staff make a large percent of their money through tips.

This is a normal post I hate the intensity of US waiting staff
They're so in your face and eager to please. I'm trying to eat and I don't need some twunt smacking the table in false hilarity at my charming accent (I'm from North London, there's nothing charming about it) and then getting pissy when I don't tip them more than 10% for a fucking burger and chips and shouting at me for 30 minutes.

I'll tip when I get good service that I feel isn't intrusive. 'Merkin waiters need to spend a couple of days serving in a Michelin starred restaurant.

This is a normal post Uhm, have you seen the stupid "plus tax" on everything in the US?
You go into (for example) Subway to get a sandwich, order something based on the price of the item on the menu and then they give you a bill thats a totally different price, because they add the tax on afterwards.

Fucking retarded system. I hate buying stuff in the US.
