I know nothing of the book, other than the fact it was written by a guy who writes for Cracked.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the film.

the book's great fun
and that is enough to make me want to watch the film, even though I can't see how they could possibly have translated it to the screen effectively as the book is pretty nuts and sprawling.

Mind you, I said the same about Top Gun.
