Cart Survival Trust - Part 2
I made this!
I had a chance encounter with a mate at work on Friday who does a feature on the Steve Allen show on the radio about gadgets; and the long and short of it was we all ended up being driven by Steve in his Bentley up to meet Terry at the Cat Survival Trust to be given a tour of his sanctuary. On route we picked up God save the queen, and had a thoroughly excellent afternoon out. Some of the cats you see would have been destroyed if Terry hadn't stepped in and offered them sanctuary; he is a most excellent geezer.
I was armed with a Canon 5D2, Canon 40D, 85mm f/1.2, 135mm f/2.0, 70-200 f/2.8L IS, and 24-105mm f/4 L IS; the results of which were wonderful and will be forwarded to Terry to use as he sees fit; but completely lost in this video.
Steve Allen will undoubtably mutter something about today on his show tomorrow, given the gadget guru (Darren, the mate) I've just noticed is on: www.steveallenshow.com/
Anyway, enjoy, four minutes of feline fluff! :)

working on it
not very good, some nice stuff but overall...
one disc is being a git and i'm converting the other to .avi so i can edit it, can't do it in .vob format as i don't have the software. conversion is taking bloody ages but i've got to shed the 10 mins where i forgot to turn the camera off and got some great footage of grass, also you lot talked constantly and drowned out the cats.

indeed they were
they are gorgeous, also got a couple of amur leopards in there, not something you're likely to see often and a very rare european linx or two.

^this
34 left in the wild, and only 800 of the snow leopard cubs left in the wild; things have probably gone beyond being a bit critical, unless people like Terry and zoos world wide can pull it off with breeding programs. We've done it before to save a species from the night, so it can be done!

I'm going to try to get down to the site while
my missus is off at the end of the Easter term to see if I can lend a hand (or at least donate a bit of my redundancy pay)
For those interested, here's the website of the Cat Survival Trust charity:
www.catsurvivaltrust.org/
Edit: their website needs a bit of TLC to bring it up to scratch - any web developers out there willing to spruce it up a bit ?

You utter gem
Their website does need a spring clean by some of you talented people; Terry's got loads of high res full on pictures he can play with now, but being an old school zoologist I doubt knows how to; so if any of you guys want to lend the guy and his people a hand, please do so. They are not technically a zoo, and some of his staff live in caravans, such is their commitment.
mrmatt: phone in advance, do mention my real name if you want to as reference; James in the library at ZSL, and be blown away at the obvious affection Terry displays for these wonderful animals when he shows them to you; like you he is an absolute gem :)
