Cordyceps: Zombie Fungus
There was a post about the Cordyceps fungus having it's own parasite. It made me remember the original BBC program I saw about it, I find it really chilling.

"There's no devil just god when he's drunk"
Must have been the night god ran out of everything except that old bottle of Advocaat that was opened years ago.

this is all done through evolution.
the fungi has no concept of the ant, just 'trial and error' and reproduction produced this effect. Fascinating.

I remember the program, wasn't it part of planet earth or something.
It freaked me out at the time. Apparently there is a similar fungus that affects the Moose on the eastern seaboardd of the USA, it makes them psychotic and irrational, makes them very dangerous to humans and they have been know to attack bears.
