The Beatles Love album on the other hand was very well produced i reckon.

quite liked this track - eerie vocal from beyond grave - nice thick guitar solo. Doesn't sound much like the Beatles mind you - more like a George Harrison 1970s production.
Whereas Love - wasn't sure about hearing the Beatles tunes randomly cut up. Listened to it once with a grumpy look on my face.

that's about as good as I can say, I think the one redeeming factor was spotting the songs and feeling smug when you know a drum fill or backing vocal. That lasts for one listen though.

For it being cut up like some jive bunny thing. Different strokes i suppose.

and realised when people accuuse Jeff Lynne of wanting to be in the Beatles, they really mean, he wants to be George Harrison.
Love was dreadful

This on the other hand is a master class in production. Yeah the song itself is a little weak but they found it in a loft for fucks sake. GL should be applauded for his skills on this song.
GL also makes no bones about wanting to be in the Beatles, George Harrison was one of his best friends and I think actually lived next door to him.
Apparently there is another song on the tape that they never got round to doing because Harrison was being a cunt in the studio. McCantsing recently said that now he's dead they should go back and finish it off!

Mate came back after interviewing saying as such, and having seen the BBC4 documentary on him I can see why. Extremely modest yet brilliant, very quiet and still has an infectious enthusiasm for what he does. Massively underrated.

Yes, it is eerie, but think you can hear the emotion from all of them, and Ringo's shit drumming.
