Harry Enfield does Ricky Gervais
Excellent impression - however the last 10 seconds does contain massive cunt.

That's the least funny thing I've seen
Since the last time I saw these two on television.

I can't work out if people did the slimey after-comment thing before Gervais.
But every time I hear it I just think of him. Jimmy Carr does all the sodding time. I heard Fearne Cotton do it once that really annoyed me. I'm sure there are others.

basil fawlty had quite a line in similar slimey after-comments, kinda.

Hmmm. That wasn't trying to be cool though.
That was more rude English gent. Which Cleese had down to an art. The Gervais slimey after-comment is much more self referential. In an oily way. Yeah? *points at self like Brent*

I SAID 'KINDA'...
but yes, good analysis. you would have sounded even more cleverer if you had said 'oleaginous' instead of 'oily'.

You'll have to make do with Parking Pataweyo.
I know there isn't anything really racist about that sketch, but it did make me feel a bit awkward. Probably because it wasn't funny.

A few years ago the whole 'meta racism' thing (a term Jimmy Carr coined I think) was all the rage. But now you look back and realise it was predominantly middle class white chaps doing it, I feel the irony doesn't stand the test of time so well.
That said I can't be smug, I did find Bo Selecta hilarious..
still do

Gah! That makes me hate Jimmy Carr
the fact he coined a term like that. Bo Selecta! was amazing
it was just so well timed for the generation it was aimed at.
