Misperceiving Bullshit as Profound Is Associated with Conservatism
Quantifiable proof that Conservatives prefer Bullshit (in the US)
"Various forms of bullshit exist. The reader might think of sincere or insincere exaggerations, nonsense statements, or blatant lies. In this work we focus on a specific form of bullshit, namely, pseudo-profound bullshit."
Apparently Conservatives tend to more often see profundity in things like:
“Imagination is inside exponential space time events.”
“Hidden meaning transforms unparalleled abstract beauty.”
People who favor Clinton (and to a lesser degree Sanders) see more profundity in mundane sentences like:
“A wet person does not fear the rain.”

political clickbait nonsense
You could argue that, for example, artists would prefer "Imagination is inside exponential space time events.” to "“A wet person does not fear the rain.” then what is the point?
Or psychopaths would always chose “A wet person does not fear the rain.”
You could probably fit that into any way of presenting it as you see fit.

well, sure
You can argue anything you like.
It just carries more weight if your study can back it up with statistically significant findings.

280 participants.
Tiny sample, statstics not significant. At best there may be a hint that there may be something worth studying.
Must be great working is a field where rigor isn't expected.

with approximately seven billion individuals currently residing on this fragile planet we call home
how statistically significant do you expect the findings to be, like, really?

What political views correlate most with seeing meaning in bad statistics?
We need a study.

but this is a case
of applying stats and findings to align with your political view. The other side could argue another angle with the same stats just as easily.
Pointy is, this isn't much of a study.
