This is a question Accidental animal cruelty

I once invented a brilliant game - I'd sit at the top of the stairs and throw cat biscuits to the bottom. My cat would eat them, then I'd shake the box, and he would run up the stairs for more biscuits. Then - of course - I'd throw a biscuit back down to the bottom. I kept this going for about half an hour, amused at my little game, and all was fine until the cat vomited. I felt absolutely dreadful.

Have you accidentally been cruel to an animal?
This question has been revived from way, way, way back on the b3ta messageboard when it was all fields round here.

.
Tip 1: Don't squish wasps - there's something in their blood that attracts others and makes them angry. Kill the feckers without squishing them unless you want more and and angrier wasps around.

Tip 2 (great for pubs with gardens - god immediate effect, even better long term): Hang a piece of fish about an inch above a bucket of soapy water. They'll go straight for it, and about 2/3 will at some point, while clambering all over the fish stuffing their faces, fall into the water. The soap destroys the waterproofing on their wings, they can't get out and they drown. The reason you leave the gap and let some escape is that they then go and tell all the others in the area about this fantastic piece of fish they've found...

*Edit: neither of these are urban legends, they are confirmational bias at worst, ie, they're tried and tested personally.
