This is a question Redundant technology

Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?

Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

DBase IV. Microsoft Access sucks big sweaty balls. I don't care if it is the industry standard, it's shit.

Access?
Industry standard?

For what?

Have more than 5 people use it and it will throw it's toys out of the pram!

Use Oracle APEX instead....it's awesome!

For archaeology, of all things. And for exactly the reason that Argyleblanket stated. Which is pretty much how the whole profession works.

Microsoft Access
is not an "industry standard." It is a pile of wank used in professions where "get Dave to do it - he saw a computer once" is the battle cry of the middle manager.

Agreed.
It's only used because it's bundled in Office and some managers realise that Excel is not a database application.

I use excel and pivot tables
It does me

The annoying thing is, Access is basically DBase V with a really shit front end nailed on to it, as far as I can tell. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
