This is a question Redundant technology

Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?

Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

I still drive ..
... a Morris Minor Traveller at weekends! Yes it's older than me, yes it's slow (unless going downhill with the wind up it's tailpipe!) but it's the one little bit of my history I've managed to hang on to now both 'rents are gone (they brought it new in '71). It's great fun to drive, with none of this modern stuff like reversing lights, brakes etc etc! I do have indicators though ...

Oh NOW I'm jealous.

Excellent.
I have a '71 Hillman Imp, but it's kind of immobile right now...(MOT'd & taxed, just not running)

Oh get her up n running* - you can get into loads of places for free with a classic, and they always raise a smile :)

* Says the one who lets her OH deal with the maintenance, as despite 'old cars being so much easier to work on' she still wouldn't have a clue.

Oh god.
I'm going to hate this if it involves everyone going on about their amazing cars.

1961 sunbeam alpine
drove london-brussells-cornwall last summer, didn't miss a beat.

Enough said. Oh, and you can fix it with a spanner, not a laptop...

And there goes another one!

yes!
my first car was a moggy post office van.
one of my favourite features was the lighty up indicator stalk.

"I do have indicators though ..."
...meaning you stick your arm out of the window and wave?
(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 22:56, closed)

Hell no, I'm too busy holding on to the door to stop it flying open when I go round corners for that!

(it is fixed now, honest!)
