He was double rightIf you look on the back of those trailing sockets, there's usually two mounting holes for screws.
But I suppose that it was always an SEP (Someone Else's Problem - the best kind!)

True but...In this case it was sombody else's problem -- office workers, or anyone else for that matter, aren't expected to make anything safe. The right thing to do is report the problem and wait for the maintenance company to sort it out. This is the case for legal and practical reasons.
