This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

The cat's mind.
Understanding your cat's behaviour by Ben Fogle.

God! this book has been a blessing. Now I can tell what the shifty little buggers are thinking.

You should have just asked me...
I know what cats are thinking.

It's like that shockingly poor Mel Gibson film. But starring Kaol. And cats.

Oh hell
I could have saved you the money. They think "Where's my food?" and "My litter box is dirty!"

Other than that, they don't think. At all.

Hmmm...
Whenever I come across one it seems to be glaring at me thinking "Kill. Kill. Kill."

Don't be silly.
We all know they spend all their time planning to overthrow the human race and make us their slaves.

But I'm on to them now. Their not going to get me because *sings* I know what their thinking.

That I played "spin the Kitten"?

Don't be ashamed. Join our merry band of social outcasts and Merkins still at work.

Thank you. It's good to keep busy.
Current fella is playing a gig miles away; current-ex is going to let me know when he reaches the pub; soulmate is elsewhere entirely.

I have friends, but they all seem to be ill or visiting family.

is Ben Fogle
the horsey one who looks like he's stolen Prince William's DNA?

I must stop giving these Americans the wrong idea about British Women.

Kaol, we're your friends
now put down the knife and we can have a nice comforting group hug.

*blink*
You mean you're not a sex-mad bisexual nymphomaniac with lots of hot like-minded friends?

@Kaol
We don't do anything so it must be something we said.

Can't for the life of me think what it is *looks wistfully upwards*

Your signature doesn't imply anything...

(, Fri 16 May 2008, 21:10, closed)
