It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

these books MADE my lifewhen my mummy and daddy were much younger, and pre-me, they decided one summer to read a load of intellectual/classic/literature type books. mummy chose 'Moby Dick', daddy chose 'Midnight's Children'.
they both found the books so tedious that they put them down and did something else.
ta-da! 8 months later, I was born. a little premature, maybe, but without those books, I may not exist. I've since tried to read both books, and haven't finished either. but i haven't made any babies as a result.
