How I Skive Off WorkAdmit it. No one does any work these days. It's all looking at crappy websites with your thumb hanging over alt tab incase the boss walks over. Tell us your best methods of skiving, and any resultant incidents. (Maybe your slacking off has got someone sacked, or resulted in a large scale industrial accident.)

librarian work ethicI got to work 2 hours ago, 20 minutes late, I've done my taxes, paid some bills, had a cuppa and a buttie and made arrangements to go shopping after work. That's it till lunchtime. This is the most active I've been for about a month.
To make it look like I'm doing something useful, I'm updating 17000 records in the database. Not manually obviously, but it takes a while and I can't possibly do anything else in the meantime. Oh, but because I've been reading this and not concentrating, I've just realised that I've done it wrong and will have to undo what I did and do it all again. So that's the afternoon sorted.
