I cycle and drive...You might think it's a good idea to filter up my left-hand side, but that means that I can't see you. It's hard enough to see you in the car where I have windows down the side - when I'm in my van, I can't see you at all. Not in the mirror, not through the steel side doors. I might see you if you're actually level with the window. Mostly, I won't see you and that's when you get squished into the railings because you've ignored the fact that I'm turning left.
