burnt eyebrowsas a car mechaninc apprentice in the late 80's i opened the bonnet of a car and leant over the engine to start the next service - with a lit ciggy in my mouth. The resulting fireball from the petrol vapour lurking under the bonnet singed my eyebrows and left me with a bright red face for about a week. Luckily i was wearing a wooly hat as it was a bit cold otherwise would have also lost some hair from my head to add to the look. and it persuaded me to give up smoking.
