This is a question Class

Dan Prick tugs our coat and tells us: "I'm enormously middle class, and was once dragged along to a bingo club by a former girlfriend and her mum. It's incredible the fury you can whip up in a room of old biddies winning a fuckton of money and telling them 'This is a load of old shit, really'". Like Pulp's Common People, have you ever tried to act down, or act up?

There is a difference.
A t-shirt with a huge swatch across it with the designer's name is vulgar.

A discreet tag on the inside with the information about the designer is stylish.

If you need to tell me you're wearing expensive gear (which is what the whole brand-swatch is about), then you're lacking in class.

Yeah but any old pleb can get Armani and Chanel stuff nowadays.

Absolutely.
And they do. And they declare it.

Such is massively lacking in class.

A well-tailored suit, however, will never go out of style.

Yes... there is a difference
But not the difference that she thought it was; they're both branded, but if she is against one brand because of the size of their logo and in favour of another brand because the logo is discreet, then she ought to be able to explain that difference.

If one cannot explain the difference, then one is simply an idiot who has recycled someone else's opinion, but without having the good sense to have understood it enough to be able to justify it.

This bitch is the worst kind of snob: an idiot who looks down on her betters.

One of my aims in life is to own a tailored suit before I'm 30.

they aren't as expensive as you think.
400 quid will get you a full tailored three piece.

Yeah, but made of what?

(, Fri 21 Mar 2014, 13:03, closed)
Why?
You trying to in impress a jury, or something?
