This is a question The B3TA Confessional

With the Pope about to visit the UK, what better time to unburden yourself of anything that's weighing on your mind by posting it on the internet? Pay particular attention to the Seven Deadly Sins of lust, greed, envy, pride, posting puns on the QOTW board and the other ones. Top story gets to kneel before His Holiness's noodly appendage, or something

At risk of sounding all zen and twattish
everything is cause and effect. By putting a pebble in a certain place you could've killed a squirrel or any such thing.

Cats are usually somewhat expected to know to look out for this stuff, so there was no expecting you to be exceptionally careful about it.

Simply put, it wasn't really your fault - you may have persisted in trying to pet it, but at the time you didn't know what the consequences of this would be, and neither would you now.

I suppose they're called accidents, really.

Sorry that's bollox
Cats don't know the green cross code. We have two cats and my children have been told not to look at them when they are the other side of the road, just in case one of the stupid kittems decide to bolt across the road for some loving. I feel for the OP, I really do, but the cold hard fact is that the cat was beckoned from across the road and for once it did what it was told. Cat Darwinism I suppose, cos we all know the feckers are programmed to disobey.
