This is a question Hotel Splendido

Enzyme writes, "what about awful hotels, B&Bs, or friends' houses where you've had no choice but to stay the night?"

What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?

Add your crappy hotel experiences to our list.

when i was working as a waiter in a hotel
I had to bring a full English up as the usual room service maid was off ill.

When I brought it in the room, i did a double take.

This girl was surrounded by half of Anne summers! It was like the set of a porn film.

needless to say I 'borrowed' the tape of the secret camera in the air vent for that room and flogged copies at a car boot for a fiver ago.

Brought me a good dinner at a fancy restaurant- it was nice to be waited on for a change.

Small world eh?
