tonyAh, the excellently written and shot War Game! Very harrowing as well, although being a 60's documentary it has dated slightly. I think I prefer Threads over the War Game mainly due to the (at the time) more contemporary setting of the Mid-80's and some of the more stark imagery post strike (I'm thinking of the carbonised baby being cradled by the traumatised mother in particular).
Ultimately though, they are both FAR better than the anodyne "The Day After" produced in the US around the same time...
