I come from a railway town and have heard many such stories.
For example, people who deliberately stand in front of trains are usually sick as they wait. So if you find the sick, you know where they were hit.

Railway suicides
are divided into "standers", "kneelers" and "sitters" by staff. Messy and horrible for the drivers, who can generally see what's coming for a fair time before impact.
My friend has also had to deal with a few cases of children playing terminally on the tracks. Those are absolutely no fun at all for anyone.

To be fair, children playing on the lines are probably having lots of fun.
