This is a question Gambling

Broke the bank at Las Vegas, or won a packet of smokes for getting your tinkle out in class? Outrageous, heroic or plain stupid bets.

there
was a machine similar to this at the 'scream' bar I used to go to as a student...

anyone else seen one of these? has anyone won a DS yet?
or are they rigged to fuck?

they aren't rigged
the bar staff watch them very closely until someone is about to "win" - then put the machine out of order, and after closing time tip it forward and "win" the prize......

'tip'
as in tilt it so the prizes fall off the rods, or use their 'tips' gained during their shift for credit

The last one of those I saw
was stocked with hilariously poor copies of popular gaming machines like the Nindoten D5 or something.

Winnable
Friend came home from a pub visit with a DS one day. More luck than skill though, I suspect (especially as he was cunted at the time).

Yup
Yeah an ex of mine won a DS once,i myself - having spent about 8 quid on them in my lifetime - have only ever won a fucking yo-yo that apparently lit up when you spun it! I never tried the shit out...

Stacker machines
I've seen a few people win the top prizes before, one of them we were sitting near even bought us a round of drinks out of sheer delight!

I've only been on it a few times but you can pretty much win the lower prizes every time once you get used to it. My mates used to end up going home after each night out with a new keyring.. one time the machine actually broke and managed to give us 4 gifts from just one win! I was given a laptop light... useful..

Perhaps this is a bit similar
to the sweet grabber machines? In that the value of the prize you always win is less than the cost of the play?

The proper prizes are indeed 'rigged to fuck', like every variant on machines like this.

The only exception is when teddy prizes too small are put in the grabber machines. I won 6 Tiggers in one night at a harvest home.

I suspect
They are rigged in a way that it's more luck than skill.

There's some games round here that are "stop the light on the red lamp" type games. I'd consider doing something with a webcam and a solenoid if there was one in a less-than-public place.

seen
a friend of a friend do 3 or 4 runs between one of those and the in bar cash machine.
when i asked said friend if we should stop him he said "he'll do what he does and he get quite aggresive when you question his gambling problem"

I love those things.
I too have plenty of keyrings, but no DS...
