Evidence that you're getting oldYouthful as I am, I realised yesterday that I no-longer know, or care, who is #1 in the charts. Furthermore, it takes all day to get rid of a hangover and I now seem to have a profound interest in gardening. Worst is that I now use words like 'furthermore'.
What makes you think that you are getting old?

Comfortable shoesI found myself telling a friend in a shoe shop the other day,
"ah no, you want to buy the size above that, there's nothing worse than badly-fitting shoes. Comfort, that's what you want, not the way they look."
And this from someone who once spent an entire week's wages on a pair of 6-inch platform suede boots. Scary, that's what it is.
