This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Tapping stuff
If I tap something with my right hand, I then have to tap it with my left hand to "balance it out". Not only that, I also have to tap it with exactly the same force. If I tap it too hard I then have to tap it a second time with the first hand. This can (and occasionally does) go on for some time.

I did this for most of my childhood
My parents never said anything but they MUST have noticed, nobody ever mentioned it but I was sometimes found to be standing at a door or even just a wall for several minutes just touching it with one hand then the other.

I would get upset if I was going up or down stairs holding onto both sides and someone went the other way, forcing me to let go on one side. I would have to let go of both sides at the same time or it would be unfixable!

Lucky I got over it... as a programmer that could be interesting. I can imagine trying to press exactly the same number of keys with each hand would put you off your train of thought slightly.

We're all mad!
