I don't count the stairs,just the number of steps I take to get up them. It makes me happy when I can make it to the top of my own staircase in four or fewer steps. Then I argue with myself on whether it's the first foot on the top of the stairs that counts as 'finished' or when the other foot lands.

pffit started when i broke my foot as a child, i'd count them and say to myself "only a couple left, come on, it doesn't hurt that much"
