This is a question Irrational Hatred

People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

People who hold their knife like a pen,
it doesn't make you look posh, it makes you look like a twat who is struggling to cut up their food.

I've never seen this.
I must either be very lucky or blind.

Apocryphal story
Such behaviour been used in the past as a criterion for rejecting applicants to SIS/MI6. Dinner with a section chief was a late step in the process of admission. The notation "HKLP" on his report was the kiss of death to the candidate's chances.

It is chuffing irritating to watch. It's nothing more than a vile affectation, a faked emposhening to conceal rough origins, like saying "serviette" instead of "napkin", or using a lace doily as a bog roll cover, or writing great big long run-on sentences, like this one, thinking it makes you all literary 'cos you can use a comma.
